Just visited my favorite place in Alaska! It’s a great time of year to visit our northernmost state, with gorgeous scenery and terrific hiking. And here’s a bit of trivia to impress your friends. Alaska is not only the westernmost of the fifty states, but also the easternmost—the Aleutian Islands traverse the International Dateline into eastern longitude!
